HeartCode BLS - Healthcare Providers
HeartCode BLS Course Overview
This course is designed for healthcare professionals, trained first responders, and individuals enrolled in healthcare training programs who need initial BLS certification or renewal. HeartCode BLS follows the American Heart Association’s blended learning format, combining self-paced eLearning with a hands-on skills session. Students can choose between an in-hospital or out-of-hospital track based on their role and work environment.
Course Format
You will receive a HeartCode BLS access code and complete the online portion at your own pace. After finishing the eLearning module, you will schedule an in-person skills check with a certified instructor to demonstrate competency.
Course Length
The online portion of HeartCode BLS can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours. The hands-on skills session typically takes 60 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the student’s experience level.
Certification
Upon successful completion, you will receive an official American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification card, valid for two years. Same-day certification is available after successfully completing your in-person skills session.
